The small and heavily congested roof area suited a Kemperol liquid roof system.
The liquid coating system was ideal for minimum material and plant requirements in central London, avoiding hot works, and resolving problematic roof details. The project was a mix of refurbishment and new roof areas including an existing main roof area with extensive plant installation and acoustic screens, a new timber structured roof area, existing dormer roofs and existing mansard gutters.
The existing roof surfaces were cleaned and prepared ready to receive the new Kemperol roof system. A self-adhesive VCL was installed, before a tapered insulation system was fully bonded in PU adhesive. The waterproofing comprised of primer, embedment coat, premium reinforcement layer, and top coat. Regular quality inspections were carried out by Kemper and a 20-year guarantee was issued on completion.
