Heston

Queens Park Rangers FC New Training Ground located in Heston. The new training ground will be utilised by the first team, U21s as well as the academy teams.

The building is being constructed with a hybrid modern Steel Frame, Glulam beams and exposed timber, with concrete decks to both first floor and mezzanine floor levels. The external façades will feature both aluminium and polycarbonate cladding on the relevant elevations with feature sustainable home-grown timber fins on the vertical facades and standing seam roof.

Spec: 0.9mm Kalzip 65/500 HPC (30% Gloss) Coated Aluminium (Standard Colour) Standing Seam Roof System complete with 240mm Plus 32 Mineral wool Insulation lightly compressed to 220mm to achieve U Value of 0.15W/m²K, Kalzip vapour control layer laid to metal deck.

Challenges: Design co-ordination with the wall cladding, windows and timber fins feature to ensure alignment with the Kalzip standing seams to keep the symmetrical look of the building.
