Chapel Riverside

Southampton

2 residential blocks. Axter wilotekt hot melt roof system, insulation, pebble and paving slab roof finishes. Supply and install smoke vents and AOVs.

Chapel Riverside is one of Southampton’s main regeneration opportunities and has an approximate GDV of £100m. It is transforming the former town depot with a range of homes, from one bedroom to family properties, all located in a walkable environment with easy access to the river and Southampton city centre.

The Chapel Riverside site is being transformed with 300m of river flood defences, and the reconstruction of a new underground surface water storage tank for Southern Water. The scheme will include residential properties in a mix of heights and building types, and will feature a new square with cafes, restaurants and shops as well as spaces for retained and enhanced marine industry and activities.

Located on the western bank of the River Itchen, north of the Itchen Bridge and with many apartments benefitting from waterside views overlooking Southampton’s selection of yachting marinas, Chapel Riverside is a large landmark development just moments from the bustling amenities at Ocean Village and the city centre.

Plans for the transformation of the site included 300m of river flood defences, the reconstruction of a new underground surface water storage tank for Southern Water and full archaeological investigations of the former Chapel of the Holy Trinity, dating from before 1217AD, as well as a medieval mill and Saxon burial ground on the site.
